ROAR Digital, Spirit Mountain Casino, Confederated Tribes of Ronde Forms Sports Betting Partnership
Roar Digital is a partnership of MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings.
The coronavirus pandemic postponed and canceled all major events in the US since mid-March.
The government-imposed shutdown closed all gambling facilities, including sportsbooks and casinos. Casinos and sportsbooks needed to expand in a broader market as the quarantine and lockdowns dragged revenues down to record levels.
The gambling industry needed innovations and initiatives to recover from the losses they accumulated during the lockdowns. Casinos and sportsbooks lost vast amounts of revenue as they continue paying for property rents and employee wages during the lockdowns.
Despite the reopening and relaxed government restrictions, the gambling industry continued to suffer the challenges brought by the pandemic.
BeTMGM Sportsbook waits for regulatory approval
The proposed sportsbook will soon roll out a mobile sports betting app. The partnership of the largest casino in Oregon and the retail sports betting joint venture will offer state-wide sports betting as soon as regulators approve the plan.
ROAR Digital CEO Adam Greenblatt was delighted with the partnership with the Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde and Spirit Mountain Casino. He said they are looking forward to working with the new team as they provide quality retail and online sports betting experience to the state.
Spirit Mountain Casino General Manager Stan Dillion assured that the partnership between the two leading companies would bring world-class sports betting to Oregon. He was excited about the launch of the new partnership as they expand their influence as the leading entertainment destination in the Northwest.
Broader market with strong sports betting app
BetMGM is one of the leading sportsbook firms in the country. There are 13 licensed BetMGM Sportsbooks in Nevada, Mississippi, Michigan, and New Jersey. Its sports betting app is a powerful tool that allows quick, secure, and easy access to sports fans. The sportsbook also offers other services like virtual poker and casino games.
Sportsbooks and casinos are now working on going digital. The novel coronavirus showed operators the need to look for innovations in technology that could help them reach a broader market. The new partnership will surely help the Tribes as they move to recover from the losses brought by the pandemic.
ROAR Digital plans to bring sports betting to every part of the US. The partnership will provide free-to-play online casino gaming through its BetMGM and Borgata brands. The company’s latest strategy shows its high potential for expansion.
Casinos and sports betting companies are expected to expand by offering online platforms. The novel coronavirus showed how the industry would move forward.
People were reliant on the use of their mobile phones in every transaction during the pandemic. People relied on online services for food, services, and entertainment during the lockdowns. Experts believe that the trend will continue after the crisis.
